Leones de Ponce (BSN) tabbed 26-year old American 198cm guard Jordan Schakel (college: SDSU). Schakel played most recently at Maine Celtics (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 24 NBA-G-League games he averaged 13.0ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.0apg last season.

He comes in to replace Rawle Alkins for their series against Guaynabo.

Ponce also signed Kenneth Faried to replace Jordan Bell.

Their next game is Thursday at home against Guaynabo.
